This course is designed for people who are new to firearms and will provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to the semi-automatic pistol.
Students will learn rules for safe gun handling, parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, disassembly & reassembly for cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development.
Class size limited. Responsible youth are welcome to register but MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian who is also attending the class.
Cost: $100 (10% off for members)
This course does NOT meet the requirements for a South Carolina Concealed Weapons Permit application.
You will need:
- A ball cap is recommended.
- Semi-automatic pistol (.22, .380, or 9mm preferred) if you choose to bring your own, or you can rent from the range.
- 50 rounds ammo for your pistol (factory loaded) if you bring your own – can be purchased at the range. If you rent a firearm from us, you must use our ammunition.
- Weather appropriate clothing (the range portion is outside)
Class size is limited, and payment is required in advance to secure your seat.
No refunds are given for no-shows or cancellations less than 1 week prior to class date.
