Homeschool Families Firearms Training

In collaboration with Trinity Homeschool Academy, Sandhill Shooting Sports is offering a 3-day mini-camp opportunity for parents and their children to learn basic firearm skills & safety together in a safe environment.

June 22-24, 2026

Day 1

Day 1 will include our expectations of the students, firearm safety instruction, and general firearm instruction. There will not be any live-fire on day 1. Students will learn about semi-automatic pistols, how they function, and proper marksmanship techniques. Safety will be the primary focus and reinforced throughout the class.

Day 2

Day 2 will include hands-on practice in the classroom with training guns. There will not be any live-fire on day 2. Students will practice marksmanship skills and general firearms handling using training guns and laser cartridges in the classroom. Safety will be reinforced.

Day 3

Day 3 will include live-fire practice on the range using the proper marksmanship techniques and safety learned on Days 1 & 2. Safety will be reinforced.

Firearms, ammunition, hearing protection, & eye protection will be provided.

  • Children must be at least 8 years old on the first day of camp
  • At least one parent/guardian must attend
  • June 22-24, 2026
  • Class begins at 9:00 AM each day
  • $50 per person
  • Class size limited to a total of 10 students (bodies)
  • Parent or legal guardian must attend each day.
  • Hearing & eye protection will be provided if the student doesn’t have their own.
  • Firearms & ammunition are provided.
  • Please let us know if you or your child need special accommodations.

Space in this class is limited to a total of 10 PEOPLE as our classroom space is limited.

We have cats living here. We can keep them out of the classroom during the class, but there will still be cat fur/dander in the environment.

Closing Time is 5 PM during Standard Time (fall/winter), 6 PM during Daylight Saving Time (spring/summer)
Shooters MUST be CHECKED IN 45 minutes prior to close.
