If you are a firearms owner new to the AR-15 platform, this class is perfect for you. This course will provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to the AR-15 platform rifle.
The course includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a semi-automatic AR-15 platform rifle. Students will learn:
- Rules for safe gun handling
- Disassembly & reassembly for cleaning
- Parts and operation
- Ammunition
- Shooting fundamentals
Class size limited to 4 students. Responsible youth are welcome to register but MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian who is also attending the class.
Cost: $100 (10% off for members)
Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Bring:
- Eye and ear protection
- Ball cap (suggested)
- 20 rounds ammo
- AR-15 platform semi-automatic rifle with front AND rear sights, or mounted optic
- Your rifle MUST either be in a case or have a chamber flag (chamber flags are available for purchase at the range)
- If your sights/optics are not installed, we can help – CALL ahead of time to let us know you will need assistance
- If you don’t have an AR platform rifle, please make arrangements with us prior to the class for a rental
- Lunch – we will work through lunch
