Are you a student at the United States Army Drill Sergeant Academy at Fort Jackson? We have a separate training area for just USADSA students to practice with iron sights on the AR-platform rifle on the weekends. In this separate training area you will be able to practice seated, standing, prone, and kneeling at 25 meters. We have several AR-platform rifles for rent, ammunition for sale on site (must use our ammo in our rifles), and the official Universal MOA 25 Meter Zeroing Target available for sale ($1 each). Your range time will be $12 per half-hour (minus 15% for active military…$10.20/half-hour), rifle rental is $15, and 5.56 ammo is sold in boxes of 20. Eye and ear protection is available for sale or rent if needed. One of our experienced staff members is dedicated to your training area and will provide marksmanship assistance if requested.
We are always working to streamline our process with the USADSA students. In order to accommodate as many shooters as possible with as little wait time as possible, you must reserve a spot for this training area.
Important information:
- The reservation is for a 75 minute spot for YOU – not a group. Each person needs to make their own reservation.
- We will only hold your spot for 10 minutes. If you are not here 10 minutes after your reserved start time, your spot will be offered to the next available person in the order they checked in.
- In order to keep the day flowing, your time will end 75 minutes after the beginning of your reserved time. This is to help as many of you get practice time as possible.
- If there is no date/time shown as available when you click the reservation link, that means all spots are already booked.
- DO NOT attempt to book a different “type” of appointment in our booking system. Our appointment types are for specific services. If you attempt to book a private instruction, or fingerprint appointment for a USADSA slot, you will only irritate the staff members. Irritating the permanent party cadre is NOT a good move.
- If you aren’t shooting, you aren’t allowed out in the training area.
- If you need assistance or marksmanship guidance, ASK. Although our range staff is there for safety and to monitor our equipment, the staff chosen for the USADSA area are experienced rifle marksmen.
- Make sure you have a liability waiver signed before you get here. You can do this online at this link.
- Be sure to bring your driver’s license AND CAC. Our system cannot scan the code on the back of the CAC (but that’s what gives you your 15% range time discount), and if that’s all you have, it takes us a significantly longer time to get you checked into our system when you get here. Scanning your driver’s license is much faster.
Due to the excessive number of no-shows, we have implemented a non-refundable deposit (but is applied to your balance when you show for your reserved time).
