The class is held, rain or shine, at Sandhill Shooting Sports 25 Mesa Lane, Lugoff, SC 29078. We ARE NOT in the large tan building at the top of the hill.
You will need to bring:
- Your government-issued photo ID (for students 18+ years of age)
- Your pistol
- At least 600 rounds of the proper ammunition for your pistol (If you would like to purchase ammunition for this class through us, PLEASE contact us ASAP to discuss the options.)
- AT LEAST 2 magazines (speed loaders for revolvers) are required as reloading during the course of fire will be required
- Strongside or appendix carry holster for your firearm that covers the trigger guard and DOES NOT collapse once the handgun had been drawn
- Sturdy belt
- Eye protection
- Hearing protection
- A hat is recommended but not required
- Note-taking material is suggested, but not required
- Your lunch if possible – we do have a refrigerator and small microwave
We HIGHLY recommend you wear an undershirt of some sort tucked into your pants. You will be drawing & reholstering your pistol hundreds of times during this class. During this repeated drawing and reholstering, you will likely rub against your skin and the muzzle of the firearm gets hot shooting the number of rounds we will be shooting. The sensitive skin of the waist area can get very irritated.
Remember, most of this class will be conducted outside on the range, so wear/bring weather appropriate clothing & possibly sunscreen.
Open-toed shoes and low cut necklines are not allowed on the firing line for males or females. Please wear a shirt where the neckline touches your collar bone.
NO LIVE AMMUNITION IN THE CLASSROOM!
If you bring your range bag into the building, you will be asked to put your range bag in our storage room.
